Ellis began his career in the hearth industry as a service technician for Quality Fireplace and Stoves, working under the mentorship of Darrell and Kathey Wyrick. When the Wyricks retired, Ellis and Tara took the reins, rebranding the business as Miami Fireplace & Stoves and eventually expanding to a second location in Grove. Both stores offer premium heating solutions—from wood and pellet stoves to sleek electric fireplaces—alongside expert service and a warm, family-run atmosphere.

Nestled inside the Grove store, Fire & Ice Chocolate Shoppe is more than just a place to indulge in handcrafted ice cream—it’s a beacon of generosity. Every Monday, Ellis and Tara donate 10% of all ice cream revenue to Abundant Hope, a faith-based nonprofit in Grove Ok that supports foster families, children in need, and parents navigating difficult circumstances.
